Absolut Care of Westfield is a one hundred twenty (120) bed facility, located in the quaint village of Westfield in Chautauqua County. Our facility specializes in short-term rehabilitation and long-term skilled nursing care, provided in a family oriented environment. We offer private, deluxe private and semi-private accommodations and we encourage our residents to personalize their surroundings with cherished mementos and favorite possessions from home.
While the healthcare industry is often associated with a high turn-over rate for direct care and clinical staff, we are proud to point out that many of our staff has been here nearly 25 years since our doors opened in 1985. Their dedication is the cornerstone of our commitment to providing the highest quality of care for our residents. It is the primary reason that many of our residents and families return to us when future health care needs arise.
Our Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapy staff are full-time employees of our facility and are not contracted out. They are fully invested in the successful treatment and rehabilitation of the residents in our care. Our “Care Partnership Program” aligns our Rehab staff closely with a resident’s personal physician/surgeon, so that the prescribed protocols may be implemented and an individualized treatment plan can be developed to meet each resident’s needs. Therapy services are offered 6 days per week when prescribed, allowing residents the opportunity to progress more rapidly toward their return home.
Our Nutritional Services are supervised by our Registered Dietitian and special attention to personal preferences is the norm. Meals are provided “restaurant-style” in our beautifully recently renovated main dining room. Specialized diets are available based on individual needs. Our activity program offers many diverse programs each day along with special events and live entertainment to enhance the quality of life for our residents.
At Absolut Care of Westfield, we also specialize in caring for residents and their family as the end of life approaches. Our staff are specially trained in palliative care and are sensitive to the difficulties that residents and family members experience during this time. Our residents are part of our family and we never lose sight of the important role they play in their own family.
